Why we work together

We didn't set out to become business partners.

We found each other because we'd both arrived at the same truth from different paths.

Jacqueline had built businesses across three continents, yoga studios in Melbourne, Sydney, and New York; high-pressure environments in healthcare and hospitality. She knew how to create structure, scale operations and build teams. Through years of yoga, meditation, and breathwork practice, she also understood nervous system regulation. But she'd lived the paradox, building businesses designed to care for people while burning herself out in the process. Those breaking points taught her that structure alone wasn't enough, businesses needed nervous system intelligence woven into how they actually operated.

Dara came to business through the body. A car crash led to breathwork, which led to teaching everyone from musicians to police officers, performing artists to corporate teams. Working everywhere from Esalen to film sets to boardrooms, he kept seeing the same pattern: when people couldn't regulate their nervous systems, no amount of strategy could help them think clearly or lead well.

We met and recognised something in each other: we'd both learned the hard way that you can't sustain what you don't embody.

We learnt that companies behave like bodies. That's what we both kept seeing, organisations that contracted under stress, teams that couldn't access their intelligence when dysregulated, brilliant people making terrible decisions because their nervous systems were running the show.

We decided that together, we could work with both: the architecture of how businesses are built, and the aliveness of the humans running them.

We co-created Coleman Alexander Wellbeing because we were tired of watching good people build businesses that slowly destroyed them. We've spent three decades between us learning that lasting change only happens when you steady both the structure and the humans inside it.

This isn't theory for us. It's how we work, how we live, and what we've rebuilt our own lives around.

We partner with a deliberately small number of clients because we embody what we teach: regulated capacity over relentless growth.

Together, we help businesses breathe.
